"Not only does Tybee’s The Al Gore Rhythms have a great band name, the group also plays some pretty great music. It’s a really engaging mix of funk, progressive rock, and jam band influences that make for a fun show, and something music fans of all kinds will love." (Connect Savannah)
The Al Gore Rhythms are a 3-piece power-trio, bringing you the freshest grooves this side of the Lazaretto River.
Formed in 2019, TAGR was born from the ashes of various Savannah outfits; Bryce McNally (bass) from In For A Penny, and Matthew Price (guitar/vocals) from The Sound Experiment. With the addition of Jody White (drums) from Marietta, GA, the group has solidified themselves as a psychedelic prog-funk-math-rock unit in the Tybee and Savannah music scene, with their sound spanning across several genres.
Their debut record, releasing in Spring 2022, will see the release of singles “More To Life”, “She’s Coming Over” and “Rainbow Ladder”.
